The volume begins with an alphabetically arranged series of abstracts of the evidence presented by the claimants to a pension agent, in most cases indicating the veteran's unit, dates and places of service, and relationship to the claimant. This is followed by lists of some 200 Vermonters who volunteered to serve at Plattsburgh.
