Easter Rising (also known as the Easter Rebellion) was an armed insurrection that took place in Ireland during Easter Week in 1916. Mounted by Irish republicans, it ended British rule and establish an independent Irish Republic. Organized by seven members of the Military Council of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, the rising was led by schoolmaster and activist Patrick Pearse.

Author Biography

Brian Gordon Sinclair is the author of a seven play epic that reveals a previously unknown Ernest Hemingway. The plays are written under the overall title of The Hemingway Monologues: An Epic Drama of Love, Genius and Eternity. Each play, in sequence, has its own title: Sunrise, The Lost Generation, Death in the Afternoon, The Man-Eaters, The Death Factory, Sunset (originally In Deadly Ernest) and Hemingway's HOT Havana. The Hemingway Monologues read like a brilliant, intimate and revealing memoir. You will believe that Ernest Hemingway is talking to you.
