This is probably one of the RAREST and MOST VALUABLE set of books on Kentucky families. This set was originally produced in 10 volumes, all of which have been reprinted by SHP, inc. at one point in time, The biographical sketches of individuals and their families in this book go back into the early to mid 1700's. This book contains the Precinct histories of the seven counties in the Jackson Purchase, (which originally were Indian lands located in the extreme southwestern corner of the state bordering Missouri, Tennessee and Illinois) and 740 biographical sketches of individuals in the following counties: Ballard, Calloway, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, McCracken and Marshall. The index mentions approximately 14,500 persons
