These obituaries are taken from the following are newspapers: The Clayton record, The Clayton Courier, The Barbour Journal, The Eufaula Times and News, and The Louisville (Ala.) Journal and covers the period of 1890-1905. Most give descriptive accounts of deaths of Barbour County citizens, as well as sometimes giving their parents names and the descedents place of birth and even birthdaye, as well as age at time of death. Some deaths are of persons born in the very early 1800's.
