The author, Brent Holcomb, has abstracted three books that represent a guide to the intestate (and some testate) records of the Colonial and Revolutionary periods of South Carolina. These three volumes cover the entire state, province, or counties not functioning until 1785. This volume #1 is extremely valuable as it contains over 5,000 entries. It is an Index to both Intestate and Testate Inventories, Divisions of Estates, Estate Sales, etc... for the entire state of S.C. until 1784.
