This is the sixth and final volume of the records of the Texas Rangers from 1847 until 1900 in an alphabetical listing. Included in Volume Six are the Frontier Battalion and Companies; Minute Men and Companies, County Minute Men and Commanding Officers; County Frontier Battalions and Commanding Officers and Miscellaneous units as well as the Texas Rangers with surnames from T to Z. Many of the early records are not extant as they were in private hands or just lost in time. These records are the ones that have survived and are now housed in the Texas State Archives as Muster Rolls and Pay Rolls.
