Maury County was created in 1807 from the vast Indian lands located in Middle Tennesse. It is surrounded by the counties of Bedford, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marshall, Rutherford, and Williamson. This book is a listing of 1,335 soldiers and patriots from the county. Under each soldier's name is a small biographical sketch including such information as: birth, death, marriage, children, siblings, occupation before enlistment, rank as soldier and company that he served in, along with many, many other tidbits of useful information.
