During the Depression, the Works Progress Administration (WPA), Transcriptions Unit, transcribed the Will and Record Book of Weakley County, Tennessee, for the years 1828 to 1842. Though this volume contains these original transcriptions of the Wills, the bulk of the book contains the names of individuals, tax information detailing acres of land, number of slaves, taxable property and tax amounts etc. Includes a new full-name index.
