Your Ministry Matters: Using Your Gifts to Serve Others - Paperback

by David N. Johnson (Author), J. a. Johnson (Author)

Every believer is called. Every believer is gifted. Every believer is needed.

Your Ministry Matters is a warm, practical, and encouraging introduction to Christian ministry for today's church. Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned follower of Christ, this book will help you understand your God-given identity, discover how you were designed to serve, and step faithfully into the work God has prepared for you.

You will learn the difference between the general call to Christian service, given to every believer, and the specific call to pastoral leadership. You will learn how God shapes you for ministry, how to develop Christlike character, how to serve with humility and joy, and how to make an eternal impact in the lives of others.

Your Ministry Matters will inspire you to embrace your place in the body of Christ and equip you to serve with purpose and passion.

This book also includes practical appendixes:

• Twenty Identity Statements for Every Minister of the Gospel
• Sixty Ways to Serve in Ministry
• Fifteen Ministry Pitfalls Every Minister Must Avoid
• Ten Practical Things to Consider in a Worship Service
• Key Ministry Position Descriptions

Whether you minister in a church, a small group, your workplace, your home, or even behind prison walls, this truth remains: Your ministry matters - and God has called you to serve Him where He has placed you.
